The Institute of Physics (IOP) runs an annual lecture tour which visits many schools in Great Britain. These tours aim to enthuse and engage, showing how physics is a relevant and interesting topic. The Centre for Sports Engineering Research is very lucky to have been involved with the tour on two separate occasions. In 2012 Leon Foster and Heather Driscoll (with help from others) toured the Isle making a lot of noise about physics in Sport.
Thankfully, the IOP recorded a showcase lecture (headed by Sports Engineering’s grand sage of public engagement, Dr David James) which you can now watch on youtube. I have included the video below to make things easy. Enjoy!
